Are You Running Antivirus Software?

Antivirus Software Can Make or Break Your Computer

Years ago antivirus software wasn’t something that was at the top of our list of priorities. Unfortunately, if you haven’t added antivirus software to that list, your computer may be at risk. I just chastised my mother for incurring a $350 bill at Geek Squad due to a virus trashing her computer. The problem? She let her antivirus subscription lapse for two days and a virus ravaged her PC.

Keep It Up To Date

Troublemakers are coming up with bigger and badder viruses all the time. As such, making sure that your antivirus software is up to date is critical to the safety of your computer. If you don’t update your antivirus software on a regular basis, you’re putting your computer at risk.

When you purchase an antivirus program, make sure you get one that offers continuous updates or a subscription to continuous updates so you can make sure you’re protected against the latest and greatest threats. If your subscription is expiring, renew it before it expires. Even a one day lapse in coverage can leave you vulnerable. This is the only way to make sure you don’t run into the same trouble my mother experienced.
