Tips for Handling Grocery Store Cards
It’s no secret that it can be difficult to manage all of your grocery store cards. If you have a grocery store club card for every grocery store you shop at, your wallet can easily get overstuffed, and it might be difficult to carry all your cards with you. However, if you don’t have all your grocery store cards with you, then you won’t be able to qualify for the discounts. Here are some tips for dealing with the plastic hassle.
You Better Get Organized
A great way to organize all your grocery store cards is to store them in clear see-through business card holders in a binder. You can store the binder under your car seat and that way you’ll have it any time you need it. You’ll never be stuck empty-handed again. Plus, you’ll still be able to shop at all the stores you like to rather than limiting yourself to the number of grocery store cards you can carry in your wallet.
If your grocery store offers the miniature keychain cards, you might want to limit yourself to only two of those. Otherwise your keychain will get very heavy from all of the cards.
Maximize the savings you get with your grocery store credit cards by taking a look at the grocery store’s weekly circular before you head to the grocery store. If you see items on sale that you would like to buy, make sure you clip any coupons that you have for those items. That way you can further maximize your savings at the grocery store.
When All Else Fails
Sometimes the grocery store will still give you the discounts associated with their club card even if you forget the card at home. If you tell the cashier that you forgot your card, they can either scan the “store” card or they can sometimes look up your card by your phone number. Using this method, you can get your grocery discounts without actually bringing the card with you to the store.
