Books Don’t Have to Cost an Arm and a Leg
Save Money on Books Each and Every Year
If you’re an avid reader like me, you probably find yourself spending quite a bit of money on books each year. If you buy all your books from the local book store, it can add up to quite a pretty penny over time. If you’re looking for ways to indulge your reading without breaking the bank, follow these money-saving tips.
Go to the Library
Instead of purchasing your books outright, why not go to the library and borrow them. You’ll be able to get the latest and greatest titles without ever spending a dime. Libraries are a great place to indulge your love of books without going broke.
Buy Them Used
Used books can be a great money saver. Simply go to a used book store and pick out the titles you like. You’ll be surprised at how much money you can save by buying pre-owned books.
Trade with Friends
Create a book-trading club with your friends. That way you all can exchange the books that you’ve already read, trading them for new books to enjoy.
With a little creativity and some flexibility, you can read all of the books you want without spending big dollars on them.

I use paperbackswap.com
Best thing ever. List all your paperbacks, send them media mail to whoever wants them, get a book for each one you send. They have over 400,000 books listed. $1.39 for a book is pretty good.

I'm from a small town in AZ. and we do have an excellent librarian, but the books on the shelves are more often than not older than me (I qualify fir AARP next year). I'd like to se a book swapping site on the web, that would include more people and a greater interest pool. Mabe I can get something started if there is the right kind of response to this comment!
