Designer Clothing: Do You Really Get What You Pay For?

Is There Really a Difference Between Designer Clothing and Bargain Brand Clothing?

One person pays $250 for jeans and another person pays $25. Why the difference? The person who pays $250 is paying for designer clothing while the person paying $25 is buying a bargain brand. Is the price difference between designer clothing and bargain brand clothing justified? You may be surprised at the answer.

You Get What You Pay For

Okay, I’m all about saving money, but I have to be honest -- designer clothing tends to fit a whole lot better than bargain brand clothing. It also tends to look better and last longer too. For some reason my Versace jeans fit me a whole lot better than my Levi’s and I’ve had them for years. The craftsmanship of designer clothing is usually light years beyond that of the bargain brands.

While I never pay full price for designer clothing, I do tend to stick with designer clothing brands. If you want to wear designer clothing without paying full price for it, visit the outlet malls and designer clothing discount stores. You’ll be able to get quality clothing for a fraction of the retail price.
