Digital Photos: Professional Printing or Print It Yourself?

Is it cheaper to print your digital photos yourself or to have them done professionally?

So you’ve finally caught up with the times and you have a digital camera instead of that old 35mm deal. The question is, do you buy a printer and print your digital photos yourself or do you have them printed professionally? Which one offers the best quality and which one offers the best price? Let’s take a look.

Quality

If you’re worried about quality, you may want to take a look at the newer digital photo printers that are available on the market. You’d be surprised at the quality of the photos. With some digital photo printers, you can’t even tell the difference between the photos that are printed and the photos that come from a lab.

Cost

If you’re more worried about cost, you might actually want to consider online printing services such as SnapFish. Due to the cost of the printer, ink and paper, do-it-yourself printing isn’t exactly cheap. What it offers in convenience, you pay for in price.

If you do want to try online digital photo printing services, visit these sites:

SnapFish was the most cost effective site for digital photos that we were able to find.

While Shutterfly wasn’t as cheap as SnapFish, they do offer some great services.
