Has The Holiday Shopping Madness Struck?

Keeping Your Budget, Sanity and Safety in Tact During the Holiday Shopping Season

Holiday shopping isn't exactly the easiest task of the year. There are oftentimes dozens of people on the list to buy for, and finding deals without losing an eye to the crowds can be a challenge, to say the least. How do you get through all the holiday shopping madness without injury to your body, mind or budget? Here are a few tips to help...

Make a List

Do not, whatever you do, try to go to the stores without any purpose or direction. You need a list, and you need to get what you want and get out quick. If you don't, you're going to be wandering around the endless masses of people who are just as frazzled and crabby as you. Not a pretty picture...

Track Sales

Know who is putting what on sale, and when. See if you can buy from the online stores when possible. Sure, you'll have to pay a few bucks in shipping if you don't have a coupon, but it can potentially save you hours of time driving, fighting crowds and looking for a parking spot that's in the same zip code as the store you're going to.

Stick to the Budget

Before you go anywhere, make sure you have a budget in place. Know exactly how much you're willing to spend on who and don't deviate from the plan. It's the only way to get through the holiday shopping season with your finances somewhat in tact.

This year's holiday shopping has been just as crazy as any other year's. Make sure you stay safe as you brave the crowds and keep everything in perspective. After all, shopping is not the true purpose of the Christmas season.
