Have a Problem with Pet Odors?

Pet Odors Don’t Have to Ruin Your Home

Anyone who has ever owned a pet or two (or three or four) can attest to the fact that as adorable as pets are, they don’t come without some unpleasant strings attached -- such as shedding and pet odors to name a few. If you have a pet that’s had some accidents or a pet that just seems to have a persistent odor, it doesn’t mean that you have to live every day of your life wondering if guests can smell an odor in your home. In today’s day and age, there are a number of products designed to eliminate pet odors, and surprisingly some of them work quite well.

Enzyme and Bacteria Solutions

Okay, I hate to get down and dirty and gross, but if you’ve ever had a cat that urinated where it wasn’t supposed to, you know very well that there’s nothing quite like the pungent stench of cat pee. Unfortunately, instead of getting better the odor sometimes worsens with time and many people have a dickens of a time trying to get the odor out of their carpeting and fabrics. Fortunately, there are products on the market that can indeed get rid of the most horrific of pet odors.

Available online and in some local pet stores, these solutions contain a mixture of enzymes and bacteria. The way the product works is that the enzymes in the product actually neutralize the pet odors and the bacteria in the product helps the enzymes to grow. Don’t worry, the bacteria and enzymes in these products are extremely safe and disappear on their own.

Air Odor Eliminators

If your problem with pet odors isn’t on your carpet and fabrics but is rather in the air, you’re going to want to use an odor eliminator for the air. This does not mean running out to the local supermarket and buying the first sweet-smelling air spray you can get your hands on. Not all air fresheners are created equal and while some air fresheners simply throw some scent around to mask your pet odors, others will actually get to the root of the problem and will destroy the bacteria that are causing the pet odors. Obviously, you want to opt for the later instead of the former.

So if you’re at a constant war with pet odors, regardless of how little or how big they seem, you don’t have the live with the situation. There are indeed products that will stop pet odors easily and effectively.
