Have You Finished Your Taxes Yet?

The Deadline For Income Taxes Is Right Around The Corner

If you haven't yet completed your taxes, you don't have much time. The deadline is right around the corner and procrastinators are going to find themselves scrambling through a complicated tax season with a tight deadline. If you still haven't done your taxes, here are some things you need to consider...

How Complicated Are They?

If your taxes are going to be a 1-2-3 process, you really don't have much to worry about. Some of us are lucky enough to have simple and straightforward taxes. However, if you've got some complicated tax situations and you're less than an expert, you might be in a bind.

Please Tell Me You Have an Appointment

If you do need a professional to do your taxes, you'd better have your appointment written in ink. If not, you might have to settle for second-best (and that's not a good thing when it comes to taxes).

If you didn't manage to pre-arrange an appointment with a good tax professional, it's time to beg. It might be worth it to offer a premium for a last-minute appointment. As the old saying goes - money talks. If a $50 or $100 "premium" can save you hundreds of dollars in the long run, isn't it worth it?

Forget About Walk-Ins

If you have been thinking you'll just drop by a walk-in tax center, please don't. You might even say it's like getting in line at a walk-in clinic for back surgery. We believe you're likely dealing with a overworked and under experienced person who can really screw things up. (Yes, it's true that not everyone who works there is inexperienced, but the chances are pretty good you won't get the quality of work you'd like.) Do yourself a favor and do whatever you can to get into a real tax professional.

Now what are you waiting for?! Get up off that sofa and get your taxes in order. You don't have much time!
