— 2 servings of whole grains
— 1 extra serving of fats, oils sweets, alcohol, or your choice – equivalent to 200 calories
This diet sticks to the old “burn more calories than you take in” method – and it works.
The South Beach Diet
This diet is a low carb diet plan much like Atkins but instead of counting the number of carbs, it teaches you to eat carbs that aren’t high in sugar.
Like the Atkins Diet, South Beach has a strict ‘induction’ phase for the first two weeks on the diet. This phase kick starts your body into the fat burning mode.
You will not go hungry on the South Beach Diet because you are told to snack frequently to keep your blood sugar at a steady level. There is also no calorie counting or measuring out strict portion sizes diet. People who disliked the Atkins Diet often find success with the South Beach Diet.
