Save Big Dollars on Your Groceries

You Can Save Hundreds of Dollars on Your Groceries Each Year

We all know that cutting coupons can save you a lot of money on your groceries, but did you know that there are a number of other ways that you can save money on groceries as well? We’re going to review additional ways you can cut your grocery bill down by hundreds of dollars each year.

Preferred Shopper Programs

If your grocery store offers a preferred shopper program, join it. Most grocery stores offer them for free. All you have to do is sign up and then present your preferred shopper card each time you check out. You can save quite a bit of money on each shopping trip if you shop specifically for the preferred shopper deals. We save an average of $20 to $40 a trip when we go shopping thanks to the preferred shopper program.

Buy Store Brands

When shopping for groceries, buy the store brand when possible. Oftentimes the store brand is just as good as the name brand, but costs a whole lot less.

Use Checkout Coupons

When you get your receipt from the cashier, make sure you look for checkout coupons that are oftentimes given with the receipt. These coupons are given to you based on groceries you’ve purchased, so you can probably find some great coupons to use, saving you even more money.
