Shopping For A New Dishwasher?

Save yourself time, money and headaches by knowing where to look and what to look for when buying a dishwasher.

Let’s face it, buying any appliance can be a major headache, but something as important as a dishwasher can turn into a nightmare if you don’t buy the right model. A friend of mine has a dishwasher that just died on her and she asked me where to turn for advice on which dishwasher she should purchase next. This is what I suggest when looking for a new dishwasher.

What to Look For

There are four main things you want to look at when shopping for a dishwasher – its ability to clean, its size, its capacity, and how quiet it is. Other things to question are whether or not it has an energy saver cycle, hard food disposal, and a self-cleaning filter. If the dishwasher you’re looking at doesn’t offer these features, you may want to start looking at another model.
