Without antivirus software, viruses can run rampant on your computer, leaving all of your personal information vulnerable to hackers and thieves. If you want to be as safe as possible when using your computer, you’re going to want an up-to-date antivirus program running on the system.

Passwords are another important part of computer safety. Without your password, thieves can’t hack into certain areas of your computer and they can’t access your online accounts. Because of this, it’s important to use passwords that are unique and hard to crack. For example, you don’t want to use your name or your child’s name as your password as those would be very easy for a thief to figure out.
Try using a random password generator. These software utilities are designed to come up with passwords that would be very difficult for a thief or hacker to hack. You’re going to want multiple passwords for different utilities and accounts.
