Throw Away Your Store Brand Pet Food

Store Brand Pet Food May Not Be Best for Your Pet

If you’ve been shopping for pet food lately, you probably notice the huge price difference between the premium brands and the store brands. The question is, why is there such a huge price difference between store brand pet food and premium pet food? The answer is in the age-old adage, you get what you pay for.

It’s In the Ingredients List

If you compare the ingredients list of a store brand pet food to the ingredients list of a premium pet food, you’ll notice quite a difference on the ingredients list. Besides the ingredients themselves differing, the quality of ingredients will differ as well when comparing store brand pet food to premium pet food.

Not Necessarily Cheaper

It’s important to remember that just because store brand pet food is less expensive than premium pet food, it’s not necessarily cheaper to feed store brand pet food to your dog. Because premium brand pet food is more rich in nutrients, you can get away with feeding less of it to your dog while still giving your pet all of the nutrition that he or she needs.
